Betty Joan (Thompson) Barber

Betty Joan (Thompson) Barber, 87, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018 at Schoellkopf Nursing Home in Niagara Falls, NY.  She previously resided at Spallino Towers.  Born on September 19, 1930 in Newfane, NY, Betty was the daughter of the late Leon and Dorothy (Church) Thompson.

Betty was raised in Newfane and moved to Niagara Falls in 1956.  She enjoyed babysitting for many neighborhood children.

Betty was the beloved mother of one daughter, Darlene (Ed) Potter of North Tonawanda, NY; two sons, Mathew (Carla) Barber and Dale (Tracy) Cypers of Niagara Falls, NY; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, MaryJane Giertz, Nancy Riccio and Sally Thompson; one brother, Leon (Kay) Thompson, Jr. and several nieces and nephews.
