Bruno S. Moretti, USAR Col. (Ret.), 78, of Grand Island, NY, passed from this life on Friday, September 1, 2017 in Erie County Medical Center.  Born on September 2, 1938 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Berardino and Gina (Ianni) Moretti.  

Mr. Moretti attended local schools and earned his Bachelors Degree from Niagara University.  Bruno proudly retired as Colonel from the United States Army Reserve.  He was employed as a Quality System Assessor/Auditor for Intertek.  Mr. Moretti was a communicant and Eucharistic Minister of St. Vincent de Paul Parish, where he attended the St. Leo’s site.  Bruno was also a member of the Jaguar Club of Buffalo.

Mr. Moretti is survived by his wife, Mary Kathryn (Crowner) Moretti; two children, Michael B. (Julia) Moretti and Jennifer Moretti; step-children, Justin (Margaret) Ciula, Mel Shaheen and Susan (Tim) Dineen; step-grandson, Connor Dineen; his sister, Maryjane “Dolly” (David) Stephans and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his parents, Bruno was predeceased by spouses, Sandra L. (Boyd) Moretti and Agnes (Clarke) Moretti.

The family will be present to receive friends on Monday from 4-8 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, in the Town of Niagara, where funeral services will begin on Tuesday, September 5th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. which will be celebrated in St. Vincent de Paul Parish, St. Leo’s Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY.  Interment, concluding with military honors, will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO BOX 758516, Topeka, KS 66675 or to a charity of one’s choice.  Please visit www.goodlandercares.com for online condolences.
