Clothilde (Smith) Dooley

Clothilde (nee Smith) Dooley, 94, passed from this life on Monday, May 15th, 2017 at the Elderwood Health Care Facility, Wheatfield, NY.  Born on September 19th, 1922 in Norfolk, VA, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Capps) Smith.  On June 1,1946, she married the late Peter C. Dooley Jr., United States Navy Officer.  Mr. Dooley passed away on October 24, 2007.

Clothilde Dooley is survived by her sons, Lt Col Peter C. (Marion) Dooley, III (United States Air Force, retired) and John E. (Christine) Dooley; two grandsons, Peter C. Dooley, IV and Matthew E. Dooley and her twin sister, Juanita (late John) Mattison.  She was predeceased by one grandson, 1st Lieutenant Mark H. Dooley, United States Army..

Devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend to many, Clothilde was greatly loved by all and will be sorely missed.

The family will gather to receive friends on Wednesday, May 24th from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 NOON in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, in the Town of Niagara, where a funeral service will begin at 12:00 NOON with Rev. Elizabeth Morgan officiating.  Interment will follow in White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery.
