Elizabeth M. (Guth) Kramarz, 101, a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life on Thursday, November 30, 2017, while under the care of Niagara Hospice.  Born on November 14, 1916 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Stephania (Blatnicki) Guth.  On November 12, 1938, Elizabeth married Felix Kramarz.  He predeceased her in 1962.

 

Mrs. Kramarz attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1935.  Elizabeth retired from Carborundum, after 30 years of service, where she worked as a packer.  Following her retirement, she was employed by DiCamillo Bakery, for 12 years, working at the Niagara Falls Boulevard location.  Mrs. Kramarz was a daily communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Parish as well as St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.  As a resident at Elderwood, Elizabeth stayed active with the other residents and enjoyed playing cards and dominos with them.  She attended the John Duke Senior Center, where she was intricate in planning day trips for the seniors and served as president of the local chapter of Slovak Catholic Sokol.  Mrs. Kramarz also had an extensive doll collection. 

 

Mrs. Kramarz is survived by two daughters, Carol (Thomas) Patti and Barbara (Robert) Kidwell; her son-in-law, Fred DeMartin; grandchildren, Marybeth (Ron) Rozensky, AnnMarie (Frank) Orfano, Thomas Jude (Lorena) Patti, Christopher (Lisa) Axene, Ashly (Chris) Galownia, Renee (Peter) Lute and Brian (Lindsay) DeMartin; great-grandchildren, Alyssandra, Thomas, Caroline and Mateo Orfano, Carolyn and Russell Rozensky, Aramis Patti, Nicholas Axene, Alyssa and Connor Galownia and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her parents and husband, Elizabeth was predeceased by one daughter, MaryAnn (Fred) DeMartin and her sister, Dolores Godwin.

 

The family will be present to receive friends on Friday, December 8th, from 4-8 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY.  Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December 9th at 10:30 a.m. which will be celebrated in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 620 Center Street, Lewiston, NY with Msgr. David G. LiPuma serving as celebrant. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT THE CHURCH. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
