Ellen Anne (nee Snider) Alli, passed from this life surrounded by her family on Monday, May 11, 2015 at her home on Grand Island, NY, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Ellen graduated from the former Madonna High School and Sisters of Charity School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for 33 years and most recently as an in-patient review nurse at Fidelis Care. She served as a phone support counselor and group leader for the National Spasmodic Torticollis Association. She enjoyed spending time with her husband and family, including family dogs. She was deeply thankful for the time she shared with her newborn grandson, Nicholas. Her parents were always a spiritual inspiration to her, and she dedicated time to care for them. She enjoyed family vacations, especially to Disney World and an annual Finger Lakes Wine Country weekend. She lived her life, particularly evident during her illness, as a model of faith, courage, and caring toward others. Ellen gratefully acknowledged the overwhelming love and support of people around her who gave her strength.
