Grace Mae Buck Williams

Grace Mae Buck Williams, 88, died Saturday, November 14, 2015 in Brantford General Hospital, following a lengthy illness.  Born on the Six Nations Reservation in Ohsweken, Ontario Canada, she was the daughter of the late John and Hannah (Davis) Buck, Jr., of the Six Nations Reservation. 

Grace lived most of her life in Youngstown (Town of Porter), NY and Niagara Falls, NY and currently resided back at the Six Nations Reservation.  Grace was the Seneca Turtle Clan-Mother on the reservation.  Grace worked for many years on the (late) John Tower's Farm in Youngstown, NY.  She also worked for many years in the private home care field, until she retired.  Grace enjoyed playing euchre, bingo, cooking and spending time with all the grandchildren.

Grace was a lifelong member of the Indian Defense League of America.  She was in support of the league's native issues and concerns.  Active with the annual border crossing celebration each year.

In addition to her parents, Grace was predeceased by her husband, Gordon J. Williams; sons, Walter Crawford and Gary and Jeffery Williams and daughter, Barbara (William) Dolliver.  Grace is survived by sons, Larry (Gail) Williams and Robert Williams; daughter, Linda D. Williams; 14 grandchildren;14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

There will be no prior visitation.  A private service will be held with her family.  A memorial service will be announced at a later date.  The OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME (716-297-9007) will be assisting the family with the final arrangements.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to a charity of one's choice.  Please visit www.ottoredanz.com to leave a personal message for the family.
