Grace L. (Williams) Lewis, known as “Tilly” to many, age 90, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life on Sunday, February 12, 2017 in Beechwood Continuing Care, Getzville, NY, while under the care of Hospice.  Born on April 15, 1926 in Detroit, MI, Grace was the daughter of the late Bert and Hannah (Kostuk) Williams.  On September 21, 1957, she married Roy A. Lewis.  He predeceased her on July 27, 2001.

Mrs. Lewis graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School as well as Kelley Business Institute.  For forty years, Grace was employed as an office worker for various businesses in Niagara Falls. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Getzville, NY.  Mrs. Lewis enjoyed traveling and especially gardening and graciously took pride in rescuing animals.

Mrs. Lewis is survived by two daughters, Carol (Craig) Gage and Ann (Anthony) Wiertel; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her parents and husband, Grace was preceded in death by her son, Brian (Iona) Anderson and sister, Ann Bettis.

The family will gather to receive friends on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, in the Town of Niagara, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 16th at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Cheryl Brown officiating.  Prayers of committal and interment will follow in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
