Jean (Hodacki) Griffin

Jean (nee Hodacki) Griffin, 92, a longtime resident of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life on Saturday, July 11, 2015.  Born on September 21, 1922 in Lockport, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Jarvick) Hodacki.

For over twenty years, Jean was employed by Calato Manufacturing on Hyde Park Boulevard.
Jean was a member of the Mothers Club of St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Church (St. Raphael Parish) and also served on their bereavement committee. For twenty-five years, she was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.  Jean was always willing to lend a helping hand and graciously donated her time to great causes.  She also enjoyed gardening.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Griffin and four siblings, Joan Moreau, Julia Prokup, Mary Prokup and John Hodacki.  Jean is survived by one son, Ronald (Elaine Polizzi) Griffin and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be on Wednesday (TODAY) from 6-8 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007) where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 16th at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Ivan Skenderovich officiating.  Prayers of committal and entombment will follow in the Holy Angles Mausoleum Chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to a charity of one's choice.  Please visit www.ottoredanz.com
