John J. McGovern, Jr.

John J. McGovern, Jr., 71, of Niagara Falls, died on Monday, September 4, 2017.  Born on October 20, 1945 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late John J. and Dorothy (Wellings) McGovern, Sr. and the brother of the late James W. McGovern.

John attended local schools and earned his Bachelors Degree from Buffalo State College. He proudly served in the United States Navy, during the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged in 1970.  John was employed as a salesman for various companies and worked as a production planner in food service.  

All services are private. Interment in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
