John P. Walker, 83, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life on Friday, August 7, 2015 in Buffalo General Hospital, following a brief illness.  Born on October 12, 1931 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Wilbert and Margaret (Hoover) Walker.  On August 2, 1958, John married the former Patricia 'Pat' Serrianne.  She predeceased him on January 21, 2012.

Mr. Walker was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools.  John proudly served in the United States Army from March 28, 1952, until his honorable discharge on June 5, 1954.  He was employed as a chemical operator for Occidental Chemical, until his retirement in 1996.  John enjoyed camping and stock car racing.

Mr. Walker is survived by two children, Renee (Carl) Galley of Amherst, NY and Ronald (Mary Ellen) Walker of Wheatfield, NY; three grandchildren, Briana and Noah Walker and Christopher (Joanne) Galley; two siblings, Sandra (David) Evans of Lexington, KY and Terry (Michele) Walker of Virginia Beach, VA and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his parents and wife, John was predeceased by one brother, Harry 'Bud' (Pauline of Illinois) Walker and Carol (Lyle of North Carolina) Hemmis.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be offered on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007) where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 12th at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow, concluding with military honors, in White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery, Amherst, NY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1010 Michigan Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14305.  Please visit www.ottoredanz.com
