Joseph Dugan

Joseph Dugan, 66, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life on Monday, May 25, 2015 at his residence.  Born on March 6, 1949 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Edward and Ruth (Jackson) Dugan.

Mr. Dugan was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY.  Joseph graduated from the former Bishop Duffy High School in 1967 and from Niagara County Community College in 1969.  In 1973, he earned his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Niagara University.  Mr. Dugan retired from Occidental Chemical Corporation, where he worked in their accounting department. Joseph was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish, where he attended the Prince of Peace worship site.  He enjoyed photography and reading.  Mr. Dugan was an avid Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, Buffalo Bisons and Niagara University basketball and hockey fan.

Mr. Dugan is survived by four siblings, Mary (Eugene) Jackson of Wheatfield, NY, Margaret (late Herbert) Kern of Lockport, NY, Shirley (Joseph) Contento, Sr. of Lewiston, NY and Theresa Dugan of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Dolores (Frank) Orfano, Sr.

There will be no prior visitation.  Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 29th at 10:00 a.m. which will be celebrated in St. Vincent de Paul Parish at the Prince of Peace worship site, 1055 N. Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. William Allegretto, CM serving as celebrant.  Prayers of Committal and interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
