Lorraine E. (Fadel) Bialik

Lorraine E. (nee Fadel) Bialik, 92, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life on Thursday, March 26, 2015 in ElderWood Health Care at Wheatfield. Born on February 7, 1923 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Afiffie 'Eva' (Mokhiber) Fadel.  On April 18, 1953, she married Stanley F. Bialik.  He predeceased her on April 1, 2003.

Mrs. Bialik was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY, attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.  For over 20 years, Lorraine worked for International Paper Mill.   On June 9, 1987, she retired from Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, where she was employed in their Medical Records office for over 15 years.  Mrs. Bialik was a member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church as well as their Ladies Club and Senior Group.  Lorraine enjoyed crocheting and going to the John Duke Senior Center and the casino.  Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

Mrs. Bialik is survived by one daughter, Renee (Robert) Zaleski of Niagara Falls, NY and was "Sitti" to Kristina and Rob Zaleski both of Niagara Falls, NY, Amylyn Zaleski of North Tonawanda, NY and Jennifer (Terrance) Roberts of Hamburg, NY.  Lorraine is also survived by three siblings, Beatrice (late Mitchell) Skory of Michigan, Robert (Kristi) Fadel of Massachusetts and Ronald (late Diane) Fadel of Lewiston, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by four siblings, Joseph (late Nettie) Elias, Agnes Fadel, Ann (late George) Sawma and Nettie Fadel.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. in St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 1073 Saunders Settlement Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, April 3rd at 10:00 a.m. with V. Rev. Paul Solberg officiating.  Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.  A Trisagion prayer service will be held, during visitation on Thursday, at 7:00 p.m. at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 1073 Saunders Settlement Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14305.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007).
