Lucy Angeline (Russo) Coffas

Lucy Angeline Coffas, 86, of Tonawanda, NY passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Hospice Buffalo. Born June 15, 1929 in Rochester, NY., she was the daughter of Frank and Phyllis (Dauria) Russo. On June 25, 1944, she was married to Francis Gerard Coffas in Buffalo, NY. He predeceased her in 2009.Lucy was an account clerk at the Erie County Home and Infirmary, a job she loved until her retirement in 1995.

She is the mother of Francis Gerard Coffas; Michele Coffas DeLuca, Douglas Coffas (deceased) and Thomas David Coffas. She was grandmother of nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, all of whom were the center of her life.  She is survived by one sister, Rosemarie Rose, and was predeceased by eight sisters and three brothers. 

Funeral arrangements will be cared for by OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME in the Town of Niagara. There will be no prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Andrews Church in Kenmore, NY. Flowers are gratefully declined. Please support hospice. Family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of her life immediately after.
