Martha L. Turner

Martha L. Turner, 66, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 in Niagara Hospice House.  Born on December 11, 1950 in Niagara Falls, NY, Martha was the daughter of the late John and Rebecca (Dodge) Turner.

Martha was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls.  She graduated from LaSalle High School in 1969 and later earned her degree in nursing from Niagara County Community College. She began working as a Registered Nurse at DeGraff Memorial Hospital and then for Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Martha enjoyed reading, history and spending time with her dog Maggie. She chose a career dedicated to helping others.

Martha is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Norman) Carlson; siblings, James (Eugene Cook) Turner, Martin (Gina) Turner, Elizabeth (Robert) Reierson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She will also be missed by her family and her many devoted lifelong friends, who were by her side until the end.

The family will be present to receive friends on Friday from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, in the Town of Niagara, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 14th at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  Please visit www.goodlandercares.com for online condolences.
