Mary Esther Kelley

Mary Esther Kelley, 102, passed from this life on Friday, February 17, 2017 in Northgate Healthcare Facility.  Born on November 26, 1914 in Niagara Falls, NY, Mary was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (McGannon) Kelley.

Mary attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.  She then went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from D’Youville College and later continued her graduate work at Niagara University.  For thirty-four years, Mary was employed as a school teacher in the Niagara Falls School District, until she retired in 1975.

Mary is survived by two nephews, Garrett T. Kelley and Paul A. Kelley and was predeceased by her nephew, Kevin E. Kelley.

There will be no prior visitation.  Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 24th at 10:00 a.m. which will be celebrated in St. Mary of the Cataract Church, 259 4th Street, Niagara Falls, NY.  EVERYONE ASSEMBLE AT THE CHURCH.  Prayers of committal and interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, in the Town of Niagara.
