Ronald Connor, 82, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life on Sunday, February 11, 2018 in Mount St. Mary’s Hospital. Born on February 5, 1936 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Harold and Susannah (Whiting) Connor.
Mr. Connor was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1954. Ronald was employed by the City of Niagara Falls, where he worked as a head mechanic for the water board, until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of the LaSalle and Niagara County Sportmen’s Clubs. Mr. Connor was a Harley-Davidson enthusiast and enjoyed traveling the country on his motorcycle with various groups, morning coffee and chit-chat at McDonald’s and Tim Hortons and his monthly gatherings at the Jetport Restaurant with bis fellow classmates.. Ronald was very meticulous and loved woodworking.
Mr. Connor is survived by his sister, Dorathea (late Glenn) Mort and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ronald was predeceased by his infant son, Harold Connor as well as siblings, Norine (Nini” (late Clarence “Chet”) Collins, Elizabeth (late John “Jack”) Kent, Wilma Connor, Miles (late Annie) Connor, Merle (late Dorothy) Connor, Maurice (Elaine) Connor, Shirley Harvey and Suzanne “Sookie” (Richard) Bieniek.
Visitation will be on Wednesday (TODAY) from 4-8 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 15th at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Father Jacek Mazur officiating. Interment will follow in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
