Stella (Miazgiewicz) Cunningham

Stella Cunningham, 96, of Niagara Falls, NY, wife of the late James J. Cunningham, Sr., passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017.  Born on May 7, 1921 in Ford City, PA, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Aniela (Igras) Miazgiewicz.  

Stella was raised and attended schools in Pennsylvania, graduating from Meyers High School in Wilkes-Barre and came to Niagara Falls in 1947.  She enjoyed scrapbooking and the opera.

Stella is survived by her children, James J. (Karen) Cunningham, Jr., David M. Cunningham, Mark F. Cunningham and Patricia L. Cunningham; grandchild, Matthew Christian (Penny) Cunningham; great-grandchild, Cecilia Cunningham; her sister, Helen Miscavage and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Julius Miazgiewicz.

The family will be present to receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 26th at 10 A.M.  Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Plymouth, PA.  Arrangements are under the direction of Michael R.
