Thomas Mark “Louie” Magorien, 80, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, while under the care of Niagara Hospice.  He was born on March 11, 1937 in Niagara Falls, NY, and was the son of the late Mark and Mary (Davidson) Magorien.

 

Mr. Magorien was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls.  Tom or “Louie”, as he was known to family and friends, attended local schools and graduated from Bishop Duffy High School in 1956.  He proudly served in the United States Army, from March 16, 1957 until his honorable discharge on April 30, 1963.  Tom worked for the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union, Local #22, where he held various positions throughout his career.  He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and enjoyed biking, cross-country skiing and canoeing. 

 

Mr. Magorien is survived by his beloved wife, Diana (McLennan) Magorien; his children, Sharon (Christopher DeFranco) Magorien and Sean (Sheryl) Magorien; grandchildren, Russell, Isabella, Austin, Zoe, Jessica, Nicole and Rocco; siblings, Anne (late Richard “Russ”) Russell and Richard “Dick” (Eleanor) Magorien and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Robert Donald Magorien.   

 

There will be no prior visitation.  Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, December 4th at 10:00 a.m. which will be celebrated in Holy Family Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, with Rev. Stewart Lindsay, O.S.F.S. serving as celebrant.  EVERYONE ASSEMBLE AT THE CHURCH.  Private interment will be held with his family, in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
