Ceremonial Cremation

In effort to continuously expand, grow and meet the many different needs of the people we serve, Laura and I now offer ceremonial cremation services, where the immediate family and close friends can gather for committal prayers and final farewells at the crematory as they would at a gravesite or mausoleum chapel. This offers cremation families closure. The only difference is the deceased will not be buried or entombed, but taken into the cremation chamber. With this option, the family can, if they wish, also witness their loved ones casket being placed into the cremation chamber just like some families, religions, and traditions witness the lowering of a casket into the grave or placement in the crypt in a mausoleum. The crematories we use, that meet our expectation of service, offer a chapel setting, separate from the cremation chamber area. As a caregiver, this option makes the death a reality, which is important, opposed to making funeral arrangements, having no services at all and handing back ashes. When there is no gathering time, the closure happens when I give the cremains to the family at their home or at the funeral home and sometimes it is heartbreaking as they just hit reality head-on.
