Our History

In 1932, Mr. Otto Redanz, Sr. founded the business. Later his son, Otto Redanz, Jr. took over daily operations. On March 30, 2005, Michael R. Goodlander became the owner of the Otto Redanz Funeral Home. The Otto Redanz Funeral Home will remain locally family owned and operated as originally established by Otto Redanz in 1932. Our location sits at 2215 Military Road, in the Town of Niagara, centrally located to the city of Niagara Falls and surrounding suburbs. We are on the corner of Third Avenue and Military Road, with four points of entry into our parking lot. The building is also handicap accessible, with no stairs what-so-ever.

The Otto Redanz Funeral Home was and still is a service oriented business serving all denominations and faiths. We specialize in pre-arrangement planning, traditional funerals, memorial services, life celebration services, cremations, out of town arrangements, pet memorials, grief counseling. ALL TO FIT EACH FAMILY'S BUDGET. We also assist with insurance benefits, veterans services and benefits and social service families are welcome.

As of 2024, as our business grows, I am so very thankful for the people who put their TRUST in Laura Sweney Goodlander and I. To us, at Otto Redanz Funeral Home it’s not a business at all, it’s a calling. A calling to serve your individual requests and needs during the time of loss, to honor the deceased and your family and glorify God, who willed us in this ministry of funeral service. Most importantly we are right beside you as you begin your grief journey and there after-ALWAYS and in ALL WAYS-to help you heal. I am thankful for not only my wife, best friend and business partner, but my staff, who has been intricate in building our business, and the support and confidence of our community. Laura and I, through prayer, know without a doubt we are where we are supposed to be. 

But Jesus said that He came to “heal” the brokenhearted! The word “heal” is the Greek word aphiesi, which means to set free or to loosen from the detrimental effects of a shattered life. Through Him we promise to take steps along side you to heal your shattered life.
