Anthony Egert

Anthony Egert, 77, of North Tonawanda, NY, passed away on December 12, 2019 at Niagara Hospice House.  Born on October 23, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Anthony W. “Tony” Egert and the late Grace Mary (Daniels) Egert.  
 

Tony, as he was known to family and friends, was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.  He is survived by the love of his life, Linda (Rafferty) Egert, to whom he was married for 53 years.   For over 40 years, Tony was employed as a project manager for the former Joseph Davis, Inc.  and then went on to work for 9 years at John Danforth. He was a talented musician and played accordion in a local band.
 

In addition to his beloved wife, Tony is survived by children, Christopher Egert and Jennifer (Jeffrey) Benjamin; a grandchild, Braden Benjamin; a brother, Michael (Debra) Egert as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Frank Egert along with several aunts and uncles.
 

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 4-6 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where a funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute or to Niagara Hospice.  Arrangements are under the direction of Michael R.
