Bernice M. Coonan

Bernice M. Coonan, 93, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life on November 15, 2019 from injuries sustained in her house fire.  Born on May 17, 1926 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Florence (Reagan) Coonan.

Bernice was employed by Woolworth Department Store in Niagara Falls.  She will be remembered as the matriarch of her community and always taking care of others. Bernice loved animals and jazz.

Bernice is survived by her loving cousins, Bill (Paulette) Callan, Cindy (George) Caccamise, and many 2nd and 3rd cousins as well many lifelong special friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Cataract Church, 259-4th Street, Niagara Falls, NY, (PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT THE CHURCH) with Rev. Father Jacek Mazur serving as celebrant.  Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.  Flowers gratefully declined, memorial offerings may be made to the SPCA of Niagara.  Arrangements are under the care of Michael R.
