Bessie M. (Rouse) Dunbar, 94, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on November 17, 2019. Born on April 17, 1925 in Dunbarton, SC, she was the daughter of the late Barney and Idella (Dicks) Rouse.

Bessie attended schools in South Carolina and came to Niagara Falls in the 1940’s. She enjoyed fishing, bowling and knitting and above all being the "matriarch" of her family.

Survivors include her children, Edward, Cynthia and Timothy Dunbar; 3 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Willie Dunbar, she was predeceased by 2 children, John and Gwendolyn Dunbar and Bessie’s 7 brothers.
