Carolyn H. (Hartman) (Olander) Gonzalez

Carolyn H. (Olander) Gonzalez, 83, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at her residence.  Born on June 20, 1934 in Pittston, PA, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Marjorie (MacDonald) Hartman.

Carolyn came to Niagara Falls as a child and graduated high school in 1952.  She was employed as a banker for Bank of America.  Carolyn was a longtime congregant of the First Congregational Church in Niagara Falls.  She enjoyed the beach, being a homemaker and spending time with her family at the cottage.  

Carolyn is survived by children, John (late Kathy) Olander, Linda (Terrance) Burbee, Laura (David) Brett, Catherine (Robert) DiFranco, Susan (Joseph) Congi and James (Tammy Mayes) Olander; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her spouses, Harold Olander and then Louis Gonzalez and her sister, Marian McAlpine.

There will be no prior visitation.  Private services will be held by Carolyn’s family.  Interment in Acacia Park Cemetery.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made in her name to Niagara Hospice.
