Charles Storrs Life story

Charles D. Storrs, 88, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on October 23, 2019 in Marion, Indiana. Born on October 13, 1931 in Lincoln, KS, he was the son of the late William and Helen (Lyons) Storrs.

Chuck, as he was known to family and friends, attended schools in Kansas, graduated from Lincoln High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Kansas State University. He proudly served in the United States Navy, during the Korean War, from December 9, 1950, until his honorable discharge on October 7, 1954. Chuck married Jeannette (Wells) Storrs on June 12, 1960 in Salina, Kansas. They moved to Niagara Falls in 1964 and Chuck began his career at Hooker Chemical, working in various departments, and retired as a Senior Human Resource Supervisor on June 1, 1994. On August 29, 2006 his wife, Jeannette passed away. Chuck married Sandra L. (Walters) Holland-Storrs on April 18, 2009. He was a loving husband, father, and grand-father who devoted his life to his family and the service of others. He was a longtime congregant and pillar of United Baptist-Christian Church in Lewiston, where he and Sandra were married, a member of the USS Bausell Association, and was an avid sports fan. Chuck and Sandra moved to Indiana in December of 2016.

In addition to his wife, Chuck is survived by children, Ty (Brooke), Tim (Lorrie), and Terri Storrs; step-children, Bette (James) Bond and Brian (Jaye) Holland; grandchildren, Alyssa, Laura, Taylor and Hayley Storrs and step-grandchildren, A.J. Griffin, Jessica (Alex) Hornett, Wesley (Carrie), Anna, and Joseph Holland. In addition to his parents and first wife, he was predeceased by a daughter, Gloria Jean Storrs, and a step-son, John Holland.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday November 2, 2019 at United Baptist-Christian Church, 4800 Creek Rd., Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in memory of Charles Storrs be sent to Heritage Christian Services Foundation at 275 Kenneth Dr., Suite 100, Rochester, NY 14623 or online at www.HeritageChristianServices.org.
