Christopher Smith

Christopher Smith, 25, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at his residence, with his family by his side.  Born on March 31, 1992 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of Terry A. Smith, Jr. and Christine Bongiovanni. On June 11, 2016, Christopher married the former Jessica Strong.

Christopher was a lifelong area resident.  He attended local schools, where he played quarterback for Niagara Wheatfield.  Christopher was employed by Compu-Mail, until he could no longer work, due to his illness.  He loved riding four wheelers and was an avid Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan.

In addition to his parents and wife, Christopher is survived by his son, Nicholas; paternal grandparents; maternal grandparents, “Gram and Poppy”; special brothers, his twin, Anthony (Nicole) and Terry (Joraville) as well as other siblings; his close uncle, Steve Petricone and  several aunts, uncles and cousins.  He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law, who played an intricate part of Christopher’s life, Randy and Betty Strong; brother-in-law, Randy (Lisa) Strong and sister-in-law, Christine (Kurt Smith) Strong. 

Visitation will be on Friday from 2-7 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, where a funeral service will follow visitation at 7:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to his family, for the continued care of his son, Nicholas.
