Deborah O. (Cole) Neal

Deborah Olivia Cole-Neal, passed away with her special niece and caregiver Melissa Cole by her side. Born in Brooklyn, NY she was the eldest daughter of Alfred and Bessie Cole who both predeceased her. Deborah was also preceded in death by her brother David Cole and her sister, Diane Cole-Wakely.

The first of her siblings to attend college, Deborah graduated from CUNY with a degree in Business. She went on to have a successful career with Nationwide Insurance for more than 30 years.

Deborah or “Bubba”, as she was affectionately known to her family, was a kind and giving person. She was always willing to help family and friends whether it was offering a listening ear followed by advice, giving financial help or opening her home to anyone who needed a place to stay. Bubba even raised several of her nieces and nephews-Melissa, Maujie, Carolisha and Stephon.

To cherish Bubba’s memory are: Thelma Cole-Reid (aunt), Dolphine Neal (stepdaughter), sister's-Robin (Bob) Cole-Carter, Denise (Robert Harris) Cole, Carol Cole-Paul and Michele (Carlos) Cole-Fernandez. Nine nephews/nieces, fourteen great nieces/nephews, four great great nephews/nieces and many long time friends. 

A celebration of life for family and friend's will be held in Syracuse, NY at a later time. In lieu of flowers please donate to Niagara Hospice House.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Michael R. Goodlander, OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME.  Please visit www.goodlandercares.com for online condolences.
