Deron D. Videau , 38, of Niagara Falls, New York, earned his wings on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Buffalo General Hospital, after a long courageous battle with cancer for eight years while surrounded by his family and friends before being called home to be with his Heavenly Father. Born on July 10, 1978 in Baton Rouge Louisiana. He was the son of the late Thomas Lathers and Linda Ann Videau.

Mr. Videau was happily married to Aretha (Green) Videau on April 9, 2004. He enjoyed being a part of the family football league with family and friends as well as family fun time cooking and his grandchildren. Mr. Videau was a long time employee of Delaware North Parks and Resorts for 10 years. He made a strong impact on everyones life he came across and was very loved.

Surviving other than his wife Aretha is his children, Shamyia, Keith and Katelynn of Niagara Falls, New York; 2 granddaughters, La'Najiah and Lai'Onnie also of Niagara Falls, New York and was the grandson of Ethel Videau of Louisiana. Also surviving are four brothers and four sisters of Louisiana; three brother-in-laws and six sister-in-laws from Texas and Niagara Falls, New York with the host of nieces and nephews. Deron was the godfather of O'Tajiah, Trinity, and Destiny of Niagara Falls, New York. He was pre-deceased by his brother and uncles of Louisiana. Deron was loved unconditionally and will be sadly missed by everyone.

We would like to give a special thanks to Roswell Park Cancer Institute medical staff of Buffalo, New York for extending his quality of life for 17 months and his compassionate aides, Shamyia, Katelynn, Octavious, Towanda, Shaquille Leroy and Angenica. They all went above and beyond and took great care of him.

Visitation and funeral services will be held privately with Deron’s family.  Arrangements by Otto Redanz Funeral Home.
