Elaine Nowak Life story

Elaine J. (Bieganski) Nowak (USAF, Ret.) 39, of North Tonawanda, NY, passed from this life on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Kenmore Mercy Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Born on May 11, 1980 in Warsaw, NY, she was the daughter of David and Kay (Crall) Bieganski.   On August 2, 2008, Elaine married Peter Nowak.

 

Major Elaine J. Nowak proudly served in the United States Air Force and retired, after 21 years of service, as a Public Affairs Officer at the 107th Attack Wing, on December 25, 2018.  She was employed as an elementary teacher at Armor Elementary School in Hamburg, NY.  Elaine, above all else, was passionate about teaching and cared for all of her students.  She truly loved being a wife and mother.  Elaine enjoyed singing and had a soft spot for cats.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, Elaine is survived by her children, Claire, Alice and Leo.

 

The family will be present to receive friends on Friday, from 6-9 p.m. at the Pendleton Center United Methodist Church, 6864 Campbell Blvd., North Tonawanda, NY, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 10th at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Thomas Kraft officiating, concluding with full military honors. A private interment will follow the funeral service. Arrangements are under the direction of Michael R.
