Fred J. Knarr

Fred J. Knarr, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life on Friday, June 2, 2017 at his residence, while under the care of his loving family and Niagara Hospice.  Born on November 23, 1926 in Chapman, PA, he was the son of the late Fred and Mable Knarr.  

Mr. Knarr came to Niagara Falls as a child and attended local schools.  Fred proudly served in the United States Army, during World War II and was honorably discharged on June 4, 1947.  On August 29, 1947, he married the former Beverly Mort.  She predeceased him in 1996.  Mr. Knarr retired from Carborundum, where he was employed as a laborer.  Fred enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Mr. Knarr is survived by his children, Beverly Finlan, Fredda (Richard) Kramer and Thomas (Kathy) Knarr and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside committal prayer service on Saturday, June 10th at 10:00 a.m. in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, in the Town of Niagara.
