Gerald “Jerry” Rilko, 59, of Lewiston, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 24, 2017.  Born on July 24, 1958 in Niagara Falls, NY, Jerry was the son of the late Michael Rilko.  On February 3, 1990, he married the former Sheila M. Leveille.

Jerry, as he was known to family and friends, was currently employed as a Laborer for Sevenson Environmental Services, where he was stricken.  He loved working and valued his job there.  All who knew Jerry will remember his immense sense of humor and his passion for making people laugh as well as his “like clock work” 7 p.m. coffee break and his 9 p.m. beer time. He loved his family and enjoyed the time they spent together; taking his granddaughter to cheerleading, his grandson to football, working in the yard with the help of his grandson, T.J., learning electronics from his grandson, Trevor and most recently scrapping with his daughter, Tiffany. Jerry also looked forward to his vacations in Quebec to see his family and enjoyed bowling.

In addition to his beloved wife, Jerry is survived by two daughters, Tonya and Tiffany Rilko; grandchildren, Trevor, Selena, Thomas “T.J.”, and Zarayah Rilko; siblings, Paul Rilko, Patricia (late Lambert) Showers and Bob (Dawn) Rilko; his mother-in-law, Wanetta (late Edgard) Leveille; close nieces and nephews, Jesse (Anne) Showers, Michael (Nikki) Rilko and Rebekah Rilko and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will be present to receive friends on Monday, August 28th from 2-6 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, in the Town of Niagara, where a funeral service will follow visitation at 6:00 p.m. In honor of Jerry, the family request that when you come to pay your respects, that you dress casually. Flowers are gratefully declined.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice or the Niagara Wheatfield Amateur Athletics (NWAA).  Please visit www.goodlandercares.com for online condolences.
