Hazel A. (Tennant) Hoffman

Hazel A. (Tennant) Hoffman, 86, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility.  Born on January 23, 1932 in West Pittston, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Martha (Players) Tennant.  

Mrs. Hoffman came to Niagara Falls as a teenager and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.  On March 11, 1950, Hazel married Robert G. Hoffman, Sr.  He predeceased her in 2002.  She was a member of the former Christian Mission Alliance. Mrs. Hoffman was an amazing wife and mother, who took great pride in raising her family and loved being a homemaker. Hazel’s life was centered around her home and her family.  She was a good, loving mother, grandmother and friend to all.

Mrs. Hoffman is survived by children, Michael (Sharon) Hoffman, Steven M. (Virginia) Hoffman, Jeanne H. (Joseph) Morock and Carol M. Harchar; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her parents and husband, Hazel was predeceased children, Robert G. (Diane) Hoffman, Jr., Patricia A. (Dean) Bailor and James Ira Hoffman; 4 sisters and 1 brother.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 20th from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY with a funeral service following visitation at 7:30 p.m. with Pastor Michael Clayton officiating.  Private interment will be held on Wednesday in Oakwood Cemetery.  Flowers are gratefully declined.  If desired, memorial offerings may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.  Arrangements are under the direction of Michael R.
