Jack J. DiLaura

Jack J. DiLaura, 87, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life into the loving arms of Jesus on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility, while under the care of Niagara Hospice, surrounded by his loving family.  Born on February 18, 1931 in Niagara Falls, NY was the son of the late Antonio DiLaura and the late Anna (Cassata) Mittiga.

Jack was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools.  He served in the United States Navy at a young age and sailed around the world.  Jack married the former Marceline M. Meserve at St. Joseph Church.  She predeceased him on February 1, 2000.  He was an avid hunter and was proud of his camp in Greenwood, NY.

Jack is survived by 3 children, Mark DiLaura of Boston, MA, Perry (Denise) DiLaura of Riverview,  FL, and Jacqueline (Joseph) Perrelli of Niagara Falls, NY; 9 grandchildren; 4  great-grandchildren; sisters, Sarah Mameli and Rosa DiCamillo and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Per Jack’s request, there will be no prior visitation.  A private committal service and entombment, celebrating his passing into eternal life, will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Michael R.
