James S. Linkowski

James S. Linkowski, 58, of the Town of Lewiston, passed away, unexpectedly, on Tuesday, May 8, 2018.  Born on July 22, 1959 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of M. Joan (Burroughs) Linkowski and the late John David Linkowski.  

Jim, as he was known by family and friends, was a lifelong area resident and a 1978 graduate of Niagara Wheatfield High School. After less than five years working for various roofing companies in the area, he branched out on his own, and founded, Jim Linkowski Siding Company in 1981.  On July 17, 1987, he married the former Eugina G. “Jeannie” Balser.  She predeceased him on April 18, 2015.

Jim was loved by all and would go out of his way to lend a hand to anyone in need.  He loved animals, the outdoors and classic rock and enjoyed watching sports, especially the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres and NASCAR. Above all, his greatest love was for his grandchildren. 

In addition to his mother, Jim is survived by sons, Jacob S. (Amber Colletti) Linkowski and Jeremy S. (Jackie DelMonte) Linkowski; grandchildren, Jacob R., Amelia N. and Evelyn J.; siblings, John D. (Amy) Linkowski, Daniel A. Linkowski and Lynne A. (Jeff) Jeckovich and loving nieces and nephews, Jeffrey Jeckovich, Kristen (Roman) Velletta, Lauren (Ryan McGorman) Jeckovich, Joshua Pardee, Cinnamon Linkowski, Tim (Koreena) Linkowski, Matthew Linkowski, Patrick Linkowski, Jordan Munn, Evan Alexander and Jackson Brzusek.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 14th from 4-7 p.m. with a funeral service to follow visitation at 7:00 p.m., with Pastor Jared Hoyt officiating, all to take place at the funeral home.  Private interment in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to SPCA of Niagara or to an animal charity of one’s choosing.
