Katherine Noel (Blake) Marsh

Katherine Noel “Katy” (Blake) Marsh, 78, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019 while surrounded by her loving family.  Born on December 23, 1940, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Alice (Brierton) Blake.  On February 2, 1963, Katy married Carl J. “Bud” Marsh in Prince of Peace Church.  He predeceased her on October 8, 2009.

Katy was a longtime resident of the Town of Niagara.  She was a member of the former St. Mary’s High School, class of 1959. Katy, along with her late husband, owned and operated Marsh’s General Store in the Town of Niagara.  She enjoyed meeting with her “lady friends” which she deeply valued their friendship and the St. Mary’s Class of ’59.  Katy enjoyed traveling, jigsaw puzzles, reading, gardening and the arts.  

Katy is survived by three daughters, Pamela, Carla and Tiffany Marsh; a brother, John (Kathie) Blake; 2 aunts and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  She held a special place in her heart for Wendy (John) Jasper and their children, Peighton, Parker, Mason and Jackson.  She was predeceased by daughters, Katherine and Margaret Marsh and siblings, Maryann (late Walter) Connolly and William L. (Joanne) Blake.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-7 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 4th at 10:00 a.m. Private prayers of committal and entombment will be held in the Holy Angels Mausoleum Chapel of Gate of Heaven Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Jeanne’s House of Niagara Hospice, c/o Northgate Healthcare Facility, 7264 Nash Road, North Tonawanda, NY 14120.  Arrangements are under the direction of Michael R.
