Loretta Evelyn (Ferguson) Hill, 75, of Niagara Falls, NY, departed this life on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Niagara Hospice House, in the presence of her loving family. Born on June 29, 1943 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Evelyn (Wilson) Ferguson.
Mrs. Hill Graduated from Niagara Falls High School and attended Niagara County Community College. On May 17, 1959, Loretta married David Frank Clark Hill, Sr. He predeceased her on September 11, 1999. She was employed as a Director of Indian Education for the Niagara Falls School District. Mrs. Hill enjoyed beading, sewing and going for adventures in the car. Above all, Loretta loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hill is survived by children, Debora (Michael) Henderson, David (Terri Lee) Hill, Daniel Hill, Christine (David Morrealle) Hill, Irene (Clarence) Maracle and Wayne (Karin) Hill; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Loretta is survived by siblings, Ann McAnich, Patricia Jo Ferguson, Irene Mildred Hill and William Lankin; her protector and fur baby, Bear Hill and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and chosen children. In addition to her parents and husband, She was predeceased by a great-grandson, Shawn Patrick and siblings, Leroy Ferguson, Joseph Ferguson, Fitzhugh Ferguson, Joseph Lankin, Dione Seeloft, Faye Dubuc, Anita Miller, Theresa Stiner and Cara Leta Lankin.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALL, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, December 6th at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Family Parish, 5180 Chew Road, Sanborn, NY, with Rev. Father Peter M. Calabrese serving as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice. Arrangements are under the direction of Michael R. Goodlander.
