Mary Jane (Bockmier) Dier

Mary Jane (Bockmier) Dier, 77, of Niagara Falls, NY, departed this life on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital.  Born on January 19, 1941 in Olean, NY, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred C. and Irene E. (Lindermoth) Bockmier.

Mary Jane was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended LaSalle High School.  She was employed in the environmental services department of Mount St. Mary’s Hospital, for 10 years, and previously for the Roadway Inn on Buffalo Avenue.  Mary Jane was a communicant of Prince of Peace Church.  She loved bowling and above all caring for her family.

Mary Jane is survived by sons, Thomas I. (Sheri) Dier, Jr. and Timothy J. (Jennifer) Dier; grandchildren, James, Jeffery, Brittany and Stephany and many great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by siblings, Shirley A. (late Donald) Hughes, Wilfred R. “Buddy” (Patricia) Bockmier, Robert J. (Shirley) Bockmier, Patricia Irene “Patty” (William) Lacy and Marjorie J. Kelly; an aunt, Marjorie J. (late David) Kennerknecht and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her parents, Mary Jane was predeceased by a son, Mark Dier and her former spouse, Thomas I. Dier, Sr.

All services and interment are being privately held.  Arrangements are under the direction of Michael R.
