Mona (Eddy) Sisler

Mona (nee Eddy) Sisler, 71, of the Town of Niagara, passed away on Friday February 10, 2017, at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital. Born on November 7, 1945 in Niagara Falls to the late Melvin and Mona (Owler) Eddy. 

On February 15, 1964 Mona married Leonard C. Sisler, he predeceased her on September 15, 2011. Mrs. Sisler was an active member and volunteer of her community. She was also an active deacon of First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston. Above all else she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. 

Mona is survived by three children, John (Diane) Sisler, Tammy (Randy) Seelbinder, and Skip (Lindsey) Sisler; seven grandchildren, Justina (James) Accetta, Michael (Elizabeth) Seelbinder, Sean, Patrick and Samuel Sisler and Madison and Carter; two great-grandchildren, Chase and Allison; two brothers Spencer (Doris) Eddy and Lex (Sally) Eddy; sister-in-laws, Dolores (Wib) Swick and Jill (John) Nickles; a family friend who was like a daughter, Mindy Meyers and many nieces, nephews and many cherished friends. In addition to her husband and parents Mona was pre-deceased by her siblings and in laws, Melvin (Nancy) Eddy, Jane Marshall, Donald Eddy, Tom (Sharon) Sisler and Linda (Butch of Niagara Falls) Cracknell.

Mrs. Sisler Graciously donated her body to the University of Buffalo Anatomical gift program. The family will gather to receive friends on Tuesday, February 14th from 3-7:30PM in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS NY. On Wednesday, February 15th at 5PM, friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service at First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston, 505 Cayuga Street Lewiston NY 14092. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church or UNYTS.
