Phyllis J. (Jerrels) Rossi

Phyllis J. (Jerrels) Rossi, 91, passed away on February 26, 2018 at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born on December 4, 1926 in Sayre, PA, she was the daughter of the late George R. Jerrels and Bernittia (Smith) Jerrels. In 1948, she married Patrick Rossi.  He predeceased her on  April 19, 2012.  Following their marriage, they honeymooned in Niagara Falls. The couple then relocated to the Niagara region and raised their family here. Phyllis worked in the insurance industry and enjoyed crossword puzzles, bowling, playing card games, and watching golf. 

Phyllis is survived by three sons, Gerald (Sue Fairbanks) Rossi of Woodburn, IN, Dale (Carole Putnam) Rossi of Ransomville, NY and Thomas (Deborah Long) Rossi of Lockport, NY. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Michael (Sarah) Rossi, Amy (Kyle) Mills, Matthew Rossi, Jeffrey Rossi, Valerie (Kevin) Krause, Rachael Rossi, Patrick Rossi and Katherine Rossi and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one sister. 

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service in Phyllis’s honor on Friday, March 2nd at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 7416 Campbell Blvd., North Tonawanda, NY.
