Ruth M. (nee Yarbrough) Kennedy, 75, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at her home in Myrtle Beach, SC, while receiving care from Hospice.  Born on April 18, 1942 in Pontiac, MI, she was the daughter of the late Loran and Emma (Fisher) Yarbrough.  

Mrs. Kennedy married Roger C. Kennedy in Colonial Heights Free Methodist Church, in Niagara Falls, NY, and were married for thirty-nine years.  Ruth was employed as a telephone operator for the V.A. Medical Center in Buffalo, NY.   She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #1411in North Tonawanda, NY, the American Legion Post #1451 in Wheatfield, NY and Women of the Moose #268 in Myrtle Beach, SC. Mrs. Kennedy volunteered her time landscaping at her local lodges and was an avid traveler home and abroad and enjoyed gardening. Ruth loved and lived life to the very fullest.

In addition to her beloved husband, Mrs. Kennedy is survived by one sister, Joyce Ingland of Myrtle Beach, SC, several nieces, nephews and very good friends.  In addition to her parents, Ruth was predeceased by five sisters and four brothers.

The family will be present to receive friends on Thursday, June 22nd from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, in the Town of Niagara, where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will follow in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
