Agnes Mae “Aggie” (Reid) Woodward, 84, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed from this life on March 29, 2024. Born on March 22, 1940 in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late William Clayton Reid and the late Mabel Agnes (Hedley) Reid and the wife of the late Deuel C. Woodward.
Aggie volunteered at elementary schools in Ft. Myers, FL and was a member of Lutheran Churches in Ft. Myers and Lewiston and local garden clubs. She liked knitting and gardening (special love for Orchids) and in her earlier years, Aggie enjoyed getting involved in crafts such as decoupage and ceramics.
Aggie was a social butterfly and met friends everywhere that she visited. She loved meeting new people, a cold "pop", and good conversation, but beware: you had to be able to take her quick whit, sarcasm and sassiness, with only joy and laughter, her intended result. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family and they will all miss her dearly.
Aggie is survived by her daughter, Tammy Johnston (Duffy); son, Kevin Briscall (Nicole); grandchildren, Joe, Whitney, Riley, Emily, and Kameron; great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Carson; siblings, Doris (Chuck), Clayton (Gloria), Don (Doreen), Davey (June), and Linda (Mel); niece and nephew, Kelly and Rick who considered her a second mom and whom she considered her own, as well as many, many more that she loved dearly, including many great and great-great nieces and nephews and countless friends. Aggie also leaves behind step-children, Andrew, Daniel, and Celeste, as well as Patti and Lisa, who were her very loved and appreciated care givers. She was blessed to come from a very large loving family. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Richard Briscall (Karen) and siblings, Allen, Norma, and Bonnie (Don).
A celebration of Aggie’s life will be held at a later date. Aggie’s family has entrusted her care to the Goodlander family, OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007). Share condolences and memories at GOODLANDERCARES.com
