Alice Barbero Life story

Alice Ann (Maynard) Barbero, 86, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2022.  Born on April 13, 1936 and raised in Red Level, Alabama, Ann as she was known to family and friends, was a true southern girl at heart.  She later moved to Niagara Falls, where she met her loving husband of 65 years, Aldo Barbero and married him on February 16, 1957.

Before retiring to travel and spend more time with her family, who meant the world to her, Ann was a longtime employee of Jenss Department Store.  She enjoyed fishing, sewing and shopping for a good bargain.

In addition to her devoted husband, Ann was the beloved mother of Joe (Shelly) Barbero and Tina (Todd) Guenther and a doting grandmother of six, Talia (Joseph, II) Malkinski, Rhianna (Kate Michalski) Roemer, Carlie (Fraz Kayani) Barbero, Tara (Scott) Rood, Tyler (Brittney) Guenther and Trevor (Haley Lingle) Guenther.  Ann was also the adored ‘GiGi’ to her six great-grandchildren, Lucas Roemer, Braelyn Rood, Harper Rood, Blakely Rood, Hadley Guenther and Joseph Malkinski, III.  She was predeceased by her parents, Z.T. and Elizabeth (Chesser) Maynard and her brother, Dwight Maynard.
