Anne R. Shear

Anne R. Shear, DDS, 54, passed away on December 15, 2019 after a brief illness.  Born on January 14, 1965 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Frances (Gordon) Shear.

Anne earned her Doctorate Degree in Dentistry from the University at Buffalo.  She was employed as the Director of Dentistry at the Chautauqua Center in Jamestown, until her passing.  Her dedication to working with patients with special needs was her passion and appreciated by the Jamestown community.  When she was not working, Anne was an avid Buffalo Bill and Buffalo Sabres fan as well as a lover of everything Disney, Marvel, Star Wars and other SciFi shows.  Above all, her real love was spending time with her family and taking vacations with them. 

Anne is survived by her loving sister, Christine (Jeffrey) Calarco; nieces and nephews, Stephanie (Bryan) Sinclair, Christopher and Jonathon Calarco and Eric (Lauren) and Chloe Babcock; brother-in-law, Gary Babcock; great-nephews, Liam and Logan Sinclair; a great-niece. Liliana Sinclair and several beloved friends, especially Terry, Kevin. Amy and Kym.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 21st from 12-3 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where a funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Skrzynski officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to The Water Front Foundation, 107 Institute Street, Jamestown, NY 14701 (Attention: Amy Walters).  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Michael R.
