Annie V. ‘Ann’ (nee Pike) Hamilton, 93, of the Town of Lewiston, NY, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on October 2, 2021. Born on April 1, 1928 in Bluefield, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Zeb and Louise (nee Cornett) Pike. On August 31, 1946, Ann married Alfred E. ‘Junior’ Hamilton, Jr. He predeceased her on October 19, 2014.
Ann was raised and attended schools in West Virginia. She came to Niagara Falls following her marriage to Junior. Ann was employed as an office manager Beirs Department Store in Niagara Falls as well as Hills Department Store in the Town of Niagara. She was one of the founding members of Greater Niagara Falls Church of God and continued to worship her Lord and Savior there. Ann was a lifelong Disciple, daily following Jesus and compelling others to do the same, in her life and in the Church body.
Ann is survived by two children, Rita Renee (David) Wright and Kenneth Ray Hamilton; grandchildren, Erik and Adam Wright and Heaven (Jeff) Ferrell, Kyle Hamilton and Zeb (Lexie) Hamilton; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Patricia Jacks, Sandra (Les) Middleton and Rodney (Brenda) Pike and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by siblings, Robert, Jack, Donald, Chuck, Zeb and Daniel Pike.
The family will be present on Friday, October 8th from 2-4 p.m. at Greater Niagara Falls Church of God, 2334 Lockport Road, Sanborn, NY, where Ann’s Life Celebration will begin at 4:00 p.m. Following the service, family and friends are invited to stay and join the family in the fellowship hall for a memorial gathering. Private prayers of committal will be held in Acacia Park Cemetery, where Ann will be laid to rest beside her husband. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
