Beverly Sandra ‘Sandy’ Harshman, 78, of Wheatfield, NY, passed into eternal life on March 5, 2021 at her residence. Born on May 18, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Rebecca (nee Hajski) Harshman.
Sandy as she was known to family and friends, was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools. She was employed in the housekeeping department for the former Parkway Inn which became the Ramada Inn and also worked at the local United Cerebral Palsy workshop. Sandy was baptized at and attended Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed bowling, shopping, going out to eat at restaurants and occasionally going to the casino. Above all, Sandy loved spending time with her family.
Sandy is survived by her siblings, Shirley (late Gordon) Cruickshank, Barbara (Ronald) Courts, Ronald (Sharon) Harshman and Lynn (Thomas) Knowles and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. She will also be missed by her many friends and neighbors at Wheatfield Towers and Calvary Baptist Church.
The family will be present on Tuesday from 3-7 p.m. at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007) where Sandy’s funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 10th at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Duane Klizek officiating. (For the funeral, enter the funeral home parking lot via the south (2nd Avenue) entrance). Prayers of committal and interment will follow in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Masks and social distancing will be required for your safety at all gatherings.
