Brenda R. (Himes) Fryburger

Brenda R. (nee Himes) Fryburger, 74, entered into eternal life on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at her home in Pickerington, OH.  Brenda was born on October 10, 1946 in Niagara Falls, NY, to the late Paul Himes and Alice (nee Ligon) Himes.

She was the beloved wife of the late Virgil P. Fryburger Jr.; loving mother of Jeffrey (Elisha) Cloutier; cherished grandmother of Brandon, Madden, Callen, and Matthew Cloutier, and Joseph (Camille) Clark. Brenda was also a grandmother to numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; dear sister of Polly (Otto) Redanz and Peter Himes; and loving aunt of Laurie Redanz.

Brenda graduated from Lewiston-Porter High School in 1964, and earned her BSN from the Millard Fillmore Hospital School of Nursing.   Brenda enlisted in the Air Force and served in Vietnam.  While serving as a Chief Flight Nurse, she met the love of her life, the late Virgil Fryburger, Jr..  They married in October,1982.  She went on to become a nurse practitioner and worked for the VA Hospital in Cincinnati, OH.  Brenda enjoyed arts and crafts, reading mystery novels, traveling, and spending relaxing weekends at the lake.  She also enjoyed being active in her church.  However, her favorite activity was spending time with great friends and family… especially spoiling her grandchildren .  Brenda was always willing to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.

Services were held in Cincinnati, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Brenda's memory to Sycamore Presbyterian Church, 11800 Mason Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45249.  Local arrangements are under the direction of Michael R.
