Bruce N. Potter

Bruce N. Potter, 72, of Wheatfield, NY, passed from this life into the loving arms of Jesus on January 2, 2020.  Born on June 17, 1947, he was the son of the late Albert E. and Luella J. (Bartlett) Potter, Jr. In July of 1968, he married the former Jean “Jeannie” M. Watson.

Bruce was a lifelong area resident, attended local schools and graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School in 1965. He retired from General Motors, Harrison Radiator Division in Lockport, NY, following 33 years of service. Bruce and Jeannie have known each other since a young age, grew up together and worshiped and married at the Salvation Army, Hoffman Memorial Chapel.  Most recently, they were congregants of The Chapel at CrossPoint, where they were both baptized and together continued to follow Jesus. He was a member of LaSalle Sportsmen's Club, where he taught hunters safety and enjoyed fishing and camping with his family and friends.

Beloved husband of Jeannie and father of his deceased daughter, Georgette "Jet" Potter and a daughter, Billiejo Potter. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by siblings, late Albert E. (Lovina) Potter, Jr. and late Charles Potter.

A memorial service where the Gospel of Jesus Christ will be made known, honoring Bruces’ life and offering salvation to all, will be on Wednesday, January 15th at 3:00 p.m. in the Andrews Chapel at The Chapel at CrossPoint, 500 CrossPoint Parkway, Getzville, NY, with family friend and Pastor, David Kennedy officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to The Chapel.  Arrangements are under the direction of Michael R.
