Carol Ann (Hetherington) Godwin

Carol Ann (Hetherington) Godwin, 72, of the Town of Niagara, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.  Born on May 2, 1945 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Hetherington and the late Annette (Freeman) Lindell.

Carol Ann was a lifelong area resident and she attended local schools.  She spent her life as a “Domestic Engineer” (homemaker), raising and caring for her family.  Carol Ann was a former Cataract Cruiser and enjoyed arts and crafts.  Above all, her passion was spending time with her family and caring for her pets.

Carol Ann is survived by children, Ronald (Leeann) Thibeault, Heather Thibeault, Dawn (Richard Smith) Thibeault, Glenn Christian (Sherry) Thibeault, John Thomas (Gretchen) Thibeault and Ralph (Brenda) Godwin; 21 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; siblings, Tom (Maureen) Hetherington, Linda (Juan) Lindell-Rameriz, Aune (David) Jamison, Kathy Vargas and Jeffrey Hetherington and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her parents, Carol Ann was predeceased by both her spouses, Ronald M. Thibeault, Sr. and Zane N. Godwin; one daughter Chreé Thibeault and one brother, Einar “Nick” (Peggy) Lindell.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 5th from 4-7:30 p.m. in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where a funeral service will follow visitation at 7:30 p.m.  Private interment will be held in Acacia Park Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to SPCA of Niagara.
