Carol J. (Tidd) LaPorta

Carol J. (Tidd) LaPorta, 82, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on April 29, 2020 at Schoellkopf Health Care Center.  Born on December 21, 1937 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Florence (Diffany) Tidd.

Carol was a lifelong area resident.  She attended Niagara Falls High School and later earned her Associates Degree from Niagara County Community College.  Carol was employed as a secretary for Niagara County Community College.  She was a devoted and loving mother and had a deep love for animals.  

The LaPorta family wishes to extend their sincerest gratitude to the nurses and staff of Niagara Hospice.

Carol is survived by children, Jospeh, Constance “Connie” (Chuck Porter) and John LaPorta and grandchildren, Launa, Anthony, Cecelie and Nicholas LaPorta and David Porter.  She was the sister of Lawrence, William and Janet Tidd.

All services are private.   If desired, memorial offerings may be made to an animal charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Michael R.
