Catherine 'Marie' (Angotti) Passero

Catherine M. ‘Marie’ (nee Angotti) Passero, 88, passed into eternal life on January 20, 2021.  Born on June 5, 1932 in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Michele and Maria (nee Graziano) Angotti.  On October 13, 1951, Marie, as she was known to family and friends, married Theodore ‘Ted’ Passero.  He predeceased her on June 9, 2017.

Marie resided in Niagara Falls until 2002 when her and Ted moved to Lockport.  Locally, she was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and in Lockport, St. John the Baptist Church.  Marie spent time working in the nursery at the YMCA, where she was affectionately known as ‘Mimi.’

Marie is survived by her loving son, Theodore A. 'Ted' (Carla) Passero; caring, granddaughter, Taylore Passero and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by brother-in-law, Mario (Carol) Passero and sister-in-law, Gloria (late Carmen) Fortunate.

Marie’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 25th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Gregory the Great Church, 200 St. Gregory Ct. (at Maple Road) Williamsville, NY. For those who cannot join the family for Mass, virtually visit www.stgregs.org. Please assemble at church.  Private prayers of committal and entombment will follow in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. As you prepare to attend, please be mindful that Face Coverings and 6 foot separation are required at all times. Thank you for your comfort, support and understanding.
